The Director
Andrea Andresakis
At 9 years old, Andrea was already performing at Lincoln Center in ballets by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. She also performed with Alvin Ailey at City Center. From her background in dance, and years of stage experience, Andrea evolved to be a Director with over a hundred credits Off-Broadway, nationally and internationally. Andrea’s direction of The Pearl Diver, a Japanese fable, attracted the attention of Urheber and Engstrom. The story has many visual elements in common with The Further Shores of Knowing, including an ocean setting and fantastic sea creatures, to which Andrea brought charm and inventiveness. The Playwrights
Michael Urheber — Book, Music & Lyrics
Michael is a graduate of The Colorado College where he majored in Music, studying under the American composer Carlton Gamer. In 2005, following an unexpected encounter with what might be described as the noumenal realm, Michael felt compelled to resign his corporate position as a Creative Director and write a book about his experience. Entitled Bava’s Gift: Awakening to the Impossible, the book displays an engaging blend of science and spirituality—a theme that also characterizes The Further Shores of Knowing. The book was published in 2014 by ICRL Press in Princeton. In addition to composing the score to The Further Shores, Michael is currently working on a full-length stage play called Postmark: Fort Wadsworth, 1944.
Jack Engstrom — Book
Jack has been working on the integration of math, science, and consciousness since the early 1970s, seeking a deeper connection of these realms. Jack was a vital member of Arthur M. Young’s inner circle because of his science background, and is today an acknowledged expert on the work of G. Spencer- Brown. Young was the inventor of the Bell Helicopter and architect of a Theory of Process. Spencer-Brown was the Oxford logician who wrote Laws of Form. Jack has published papers on Young’s and Spencer-Brown’s works. He is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, in Chemistry. A practitioner of Transcendental Meditation, Jack earned his M.S. in Mathematics at Maharishi University in Fairfield IA. As President of The Institute for the Study of Consciousness, founded by Arthur M. Young in 1972, Jack continues to encourage diverse applications of Young’s Theory of Process.
