“Dark, the Polestar!”

Thus the musical, The Further Shores of Knowing, begins. And as it happens… so does a new chapter in America. But that chapter has, as in the past, been born from an unholy alliance between reactionary forces and those that see a better, more ethical way forward.

Time and again, history has shown that when the venal are in power, the populace suffers. But history also shows that the antidote to tyranny and corruption is truth and light. And those who bravely live by these principles eventually win the day.

Will that be the case in the coming years?
We can certainly pray… but we must also do everything we can to stand up for truth and light. That has always been the intention of our musical, The Further Shores of Knowing. In that story, the Polestar goes dark, and a hero steps forward with the wisdom to relight the star, giving the world a second chance. In today’s America, there is no single hero that can solve the challenges we face. It will take all of us, bravely acting as one, to keep democracy alive.
